How are we as hubs in Africa preparing our communities to become world class?

Beschreibung:

A central part of the work innovation hubs in Africa, like the iHub, are doing is community building. Tech communities are growing in number. The ideas, the businesses and innovations being generated from this community, reflect on how succesful the hub has been in their job of equipping them with skills and helping them network with others. How can tech community members be best supported to make sure they can lead successful businesses and act as thought leaders? As African technology communities and entrepreneurs progress from mobile apps, to tech solutions, to content development, are hubs taking an active role in preparing our members to take the lead? And how can different communities like creatives (motion and still graphic designers, gamers, videographers, filmmakers, photographers, poets and storytellers) be brought together? How can hubs facilitate the meeting of communities?

This session is part of the GLOBAL INNOVATION GATHERING programme.
