Few will argue that the right to privacy is important. But feeling the importance of privacy is a different matter. We'll demonstrate and guide a group through a series of exercises that make the abstract tangible, in this interactive workshop with Tactical Tech.

Beschreibung:

Few will argue that the right to privacy is important. Yet making this abstract concept feel 'real' is a challenge. That means memes and arguments like 'I have nothing to hide' can persist, even when privacy advocates may want to argue back that ~everyone~ has information they don't want made public. The question is, how can we 'show' rather than just 'tell' people that privacy matters, in a way that hits home?

Luckily, Tactical Tech has been looking at just how to make abstract concepts tangible through extensive work training communities on digital security and privacy issues, and we'd like to share some of our methodologies in a fun, interactive workshop guaranteed to get people moving. Through creative and physical movement, we hope to create a tangible experience of abstract concepts related to privacy and provide participants with fodder for future discussions about the importance and implications thereof.
