Renata Avila is a Guatemalan Human Rights and Intellectual Property Lawyer, and an advocate for freedom of expression, privacy, access to information and indigenous rights. Renata is the country lead of Creative Commons Guatemala, a member of Creative Commons Board of Directors. m,  She is currently leading the “Web We Want” campaign, which aims to create a positive, human rights agenda for internet users. She wants to see her friend Bassel out of prison. She also wants to see the asylum of Snowden and Assange respected. She still believes in the UN System and Universal Human Rights.
