re:publica 2014

Maya is the Director of the Evidence & Action programme at Tactical Tech and has recently worked on the Visualising Information for Advocacy book and events like the 2013 Info-Activism Camp. She is currently enjoying reading and writing about data and rights. Maya has worked with NGOs and INGOs like APC, UNICEF and Point of View as a researcher, writer and media and communications consultant (but mostly before Web 2.0 happened). She has also published non-fiction and monographs on some diverse topics: gender and violence against women, women's political participation, lesbian suicides, the transgressive potential of pulp magazines and mobile phones as ICT4D. She has Masters degrees in Psychology from Delhi University, and in Media & Cultural Studies from the University of Sussex.
