Becky is a Privacy and Digital Security Researcher at Tactical Tech. She contributes to MyShadow.org, securityinabox.org and conducts applied research on human computer interaction, the FOSS tool ecosystem, and security training methodologies. Becky holds a Masters Degree in Systems and Interaction Design from ITP -- the Interactive Telecommunications Program, at NYU. She's served as a research consultant on technology policy for the Ford Foundation's Freedom of Expression Unit, designed games and systems of play aimed at encouraging civic participation for Area/ Code and UNICEF, and reported on networked politics and privacy issues for organizations such as Personal Democracy Media and the Berkman Center at Harvard University. Becky has presented on networked politics and privacy issues on panels and workshops including Personal Democracy Forum, Observe, Hack, Make, and the Mozilla Festival.
